Bible Studies and Groups Through the Years
Ever since 2014, the Lord has been working in youth groups, fellowship groups, and Bible studies where we have been involved as the Lord Remembers Ministry! Come enjoy this trip down memory lane and see all that God has done in all of these different groups over the years!
2014-2017
EPIC Student Ministries
The youth group that started it all, EPIC Student Ministries was the place where I, Zach Robel, the founder of the Lord Remembers Ministry, first started to get serious about my relationship with God! Through my 3 years at the group, I started as a naïve Christian who felt set aside and forgotten, and over the years, God grew confidence in me to be able to recognize my worth and to lead and participate in all of the other groups found on this page! Being a student leader was a paramount foundational part that equipped me for all of the amazing things that followed in the years to come!!
2015-2016
Northstar Christian Fellowship
The first prayer group pioneered by The Lord Remembers Ministry started as a simple prayer at the flagpole during my senior year of high school at Waukesha North in 2015! What started as just 10 kids asking God to build Senior Year on a good foundation turned into a RADICAL Jesus movement at a public high school where over 80 kids attended our group through the semester, and we even got sponsored by teachers, put in the yearbook, and encouraged the teachers to start their own prayer group too! A big part of The Lord Remembers Ministry’s heart is working with young people and making them realize no matter how young or small they may feel, God can do BIG things with their lives just as we saw through NCF!
2017
Boldness Bible Study
After graduating high school, the first big Bible Study launched by The Lord Remembers Ministry was “Boldness Bible Study”! This was a 9 week venture into exploring more what it looks like to jump into new areas of relationship with God with confidence! We explored things like hearing God’s voice, having deeper faith, getting prophetic words for one another, and we had so many memorable experiences within this small tight knit community! One highlight of this study too was that we would change location every week, giving everyone a chance to host, and the variety in locations created so many incredible unique environments and ways to pursue the Lord as a family!
2018
CONQUERORS
During my year off of social media at my Bible College in Minnesota, God put one of the most wild Bible Study ideas on my heart with CONQUERORS! This study was based in the Scripture in Romans 8 where it talks about how we are more than CONQUERORS because of Him who loves us! We talked all about pressing into the heart of Nominal Christianity and what it takes to overcome common schemes of the enemy to lead Christians into complacency, apathy, and pride. With this group we shared 7 powerful weeks of prayer and God encounters that connected us so deeply as brothers and sisters in Christ!
2018-2019
REFUGE
During my time at Bethany Global in Minnesota, I also got to be a youth leader at this INCREDIBLE youth group known as Refuge!! Here we got to be so heavily involved in teaching these kids what it looks like to approach God using an incredible model of the tabernacle that went over important things in the faith including thanksgiving, repentance, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and more amazing aspects as well!! This was a big reminder from the Lord of the heart I have for youth ministry!
2019
Conocido Y Amado
The summer before I launched to Ghana, Africa, I had the honor of leading this amazing study with my long-time friend Lauren known as “Conocido Y Amado” which is Spanish for “Known and Loved”! The Study had a heavy focus on finding our identities in Christ, and one common thing that I remember was constantly shared was how this was a place everyone could feel so comfortable no matter what age! We had people from age 13 to 37 and God was moving and speaking in each and every one of our lives in mighty ways!! Pictured on the side you can see all 25 people who came through that summer, and we ended our last meeting by writing encouragements to each and every person! So fun! (:
2020
Leaving a Mark Study
After coming back from Africa abruptly due to COVID, I went most of the summer without a Bible Study as I was healing through a lot with the Lord and slowly warming up to being in community again after all of the culture shock, and the “Leaving a Mark” Study was such a POWERFUL re-entry into Bible Study leadership after the hiatus. This study was super special because we let the Scripture lead us each week as we went through the book of Mark and saw how Jesus left His mark in the book of Mark and then we asked ourselves how we could leave our mark on the world based on how Jesus left His mark in the Book of Mark! So basically it was all about Mark puns haha XD We also had an incredible testimony series during this one too where each person got to share how God had MARKED them in their lives! This was one of my all time favorites for the way it started to bring me back to my calling of study leadership after the difficulty of being pulled from Ghana… so so good!!
2021
Fearless Followers
At the start of 2021, I felt the Lord leading us from the Mark study which was more focused on just reading Scripture to a study focused more on Activation, and so, enter Fearless Followers!! This study would have engaging activities each week such as writing songs based on Scriptures, practicing evangelism and intercession, painting rocks of Remembrance (pictured to the side), and we even ended the whole study with this EPIC Celebration known as the Faithmore Festival where we sang worship songs and rejoiced for 3 hours! After all, if we are going to have less fear, we have to have something in place of it, and that’s more faith! (;
2021
CELEBRATE
One of the more recent groups in the chronology was the fellowship group I formed during my time at YWAM in Hawaii known as CELEBRATE!! This group’s whole heart was coming together with a smaller group of brothers and sisters each week to CELEBRATE the little things God was doing in each of our lives! The Kona campus was super big and intimidating and it was easy to feel lost in the crowd, so having a small group where people could be authentic with where they were at was so powerful and helped everyone feel known and loved!!
2022-2023
Heartlight Bible Studies
Over the course of my year in Texas, I was able to have many opportunities to lead little Bible studies for the kids covering a variety of topics including some of the most essential things to know when entering into a relationship with God! This included many things from what it looks like to pray, to how God reveals Himself in media, to identifying truths and lies over our lives, and it was super meaningful having the chance to share with these troubled teens about the God of heaven who cares for them so deeply even when they may feel alone or forgotten!! Another joy of these studies was being able to incorporate a lot of my own From Him and For Him music into the teachings as well, bringing songs God gave me in intimacy into a corporate space where they could encourage others!!
